Paul F. Linsner
Age 74 of Yorkville, IL, passed away peacefully at Heritage Woods of Yorkville, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Born March 1, 1950 in Berwyn, IL, Paul was a son of Frederick P. and Florence C. (Née Grotheer) Linsner. He was a graduate of St. Andrew Catholic Grade School and Lockport West (Romeoville) High School, Class of 1968. Paul married his soul mate Kathy Turk on August 6, 1994 and they enjoyed many happy years together until her passing on November 25, 2016.
Paul worked for Johnson & Johnson and later for Cass Logistics as a freight Estimator for many years. He was a former member of the Romeoville Model Railroad Association (Will County Model Railroad Association) and a coach for the youth soccer AYSO.
In his free time, Paul loved building model planes and battleships. He enjoyed watching College sports, camping, all board games, namely monopoly. He enjoyed the old John Wayne, Star Trek, Star Wars and science fiction movies, his favorite being The Day the Earth Stood Still. He loved lighthouses, especially those made from LEGO.
Survivors include his children, Erik (Lisa) Linsner, Rebecca (Cliff) Sinks and Ryan (Sarah) Linsner; grandchildren, Aubrey and Kashton Linsner, Peyton Pucek, Hannah, Sean, Chase and Lorelai Sinks, Christopher, Nicholas and Michael Linsner; sister, Janet Beaudry; sisters-in-law, Sherry Linsner and Pamela (Rick) Clementi; longtime friends / godparents of Erik, Becky and Ryan, Mike and Linda Bessler; two step-children and five step-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife of 22 years; Kathy (Née Turk) Linsner; parents, Frederick P. and Florence C. Linsner; sister, Judy Kambic and brother Gerry Linsner.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Road, Joliet, IL 60435 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. A celebration of Paul’s life will follow at 5:30 p.m.
According to Paul’s wishes, cremation rites will take place following services.
