Thomas W. “Tom” Houdek

A ge 82 of Crest Hill, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2020 with his loving family by his side.

Born March 26, 1937 in Chicago, IL, Tom was the son of William and Anne (nee Dolejs) Houdek.

He was raised in the Chicagoland area, and was a graduate of Morton High School in Berwyn and IIT.

On June 13, 1959, Tom married Felicia P. Przyzycki in St. Francis of Rome Church in Cicero, IL.

He worked as a professional photographer and retired after 40 years of dedicated service.

Tom was a proud member of the National Rifle Association, the Fishing Club and Model Railroad Club.

In Tom’s free time, he enjoyed bass fishing and was a model train enthusiast.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Felicia P. Houdek; children, David Houdek and Donna Swick; granddaughter, Jessica Swick and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; William and Anne Houdek.

Per Tom’s wishes, Cremation rites will be accorded and he will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL at a later date.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1705 Burry Circle Drive, Crest Hill, IL on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., Rev Tom Cargo officiating. Facemasks and social distancing will be observed in Church.
